DIO PERNIK LTD was established in 2016 to manage and operate the Landfill for hazardous and non-hazardous industrial wastes located in Pernik (Bulgaria). Since February 2020 the Company is an ownership of AEIFOROS BULGARIA EAD, a subsidiary of the Greek waste management company AEIFOROS S.A.
The three companies belong to the Resource Recovery Segment of VIOHALCO S.A., a Belgium-based holding company of leading metal processing companies across Europe.
The landfill in Pernik for hazardous and non-hazardous industrial waste built in successive stages, starting from Cell 1 for hazardous waste together with the Waste Reception area. The landfill was put into operation in September 2016.
The owner of the landfill is Stomana Industry S.A. The operator is DIO Pernik Ltd.
